A Fresh Start

I've attempted many blogs in the past, and I've found that keeping them up is not one of my forte's. However, this time, I am determind to blog frequently, if not daily. I want to use this blog to record my daily Christian life and to glorify God above all else. Perhaps you will find something here for yourself, maybe something that will inspire you and make you smile.

My name is Claudia, and I am a sixteen year old Christ Follower. I came to Christ one year ago, and since then, have learned so much from Him. My life before is not something I'm proud of, and the memories of the past are still something I struggle with daily. But God has been gracious, and has given me new life in Him, and I look forward to living the rest of my life completely devoted to Him.

I just returned from the first day at the beach, and as I sit here in my room, I realize I am slightly burnt. I'm not usually one who burns, and it's actually only happenned once before, when I was seven years old in Jamaica. Unfortunately, I think today is take two...I can feel the pain!

Despite the sunburn, I am very glad that summer has arrived. Tomorrow is my last exam of the school year, and the checkpoint of fourteen days until I leave for the Cuba Missions Trip with three other teens from my youth group. Saying I'm excited is a HUGE understatement! I've been hearing God's call to become a missionary since I decided to follow Him, and this is a great opportunity for me to be on the field. Not only that, but it is a great privilege to spread the gospel of Christ to the unsaved in Cuba, as well as encourage our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. I will keep everyone updated as to how preperations are going, and when I return from Cuba, I will definately share many stories and pictures!
